Submission to the search engines is an important part of your online marketing. Submitting your site is the only way that your potential buyers are going to be able to find your site.

We focus on the major search engines and directories

Only the major search engines and directories will bring you any traffic. Research indicates that 95% of all people who search for information on the Internet use the top search engines and directories. Submission services that submit to 1,000 or 2,000 search engines and directories are wasting your money. The purpose of most of these search engines is getting your email address when you submit your site to send you junk email.

Marketing guru Matt Gagnon (Mazu Publishing, matt@mazu.com) states: "You should submit your site to the top 20 search engines and that is about it. About 98% of the search engine traffic your site is going to get is going to be from the top 20 engines. The other 2% is going to be from everywhere else. Think about that math.   • Re-optimize pages that have low rankings.
Maintaining Top Ranking
  • You will need to constantly monitor the ranking of your site in all the important search engines. Each search engine frequently changes its algorithms and your competitors will also be trying to get their sites to the top. This means that you may have a "top 10" ranking today with some of the search engines and have a different ranking next week.
  • You'll need to continue researching the popularity of your keywords and check statistics.
